Partnership to offer complete metal analysis solution

Icelandic metals analysis pioneer DTE and Dynamic Concept, a global supplier of molten metal process technologies and equipment to the aluminium industry, have announced a strategic partnership.

The agreement will see the two companies work together to deliver complete solutions including DTE’s molten metal analysis solution and Dynamic Concept’s molten metal transfer solution into fully integrated units destined for aluminium producer customers.

DTE’s laser based solution enables composition analysis of molten metal in real time, combining the data with powerful AI to provide a real time overview of the whole process. The technology represents a significant enhancement to the efficiency and process control capability, enabling customers to reduce both customers’ costs and carbon emissions.

MOLTEN METAL COMPOSITION

DTE’s laser based technology enables real time analysis of molten metal composition, integrating the data with advanced AI to deliver a live, comprehensive view of the entire process.

Combined with Dynamic Concept’s molten metal handling and robotic expertise as well as their equipment integration experience, this agreement will allow both partners to offer complete packaged solutions to the market.

“Aluminium producers are increasingly seeking ways to optimise their production processes for greater efficiency and sustainability, especially as they navigate a growing demand in an increasingly challenging environment,” said Ásdís Virk Sigtryggsdóttir, CCO at DTE. “Through our partnership with Dynamic Concept, we are empowering manufacturers to make real time, data informed adjustments to their operations. This not only enables a swift response to process anomalies but also drives significant reductions in energy consumption, supporting both operational excellence and environmental goals”

Patrice Côté, president of Dynamic Concept, added: “This partnership with DTE aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver cutting edge technologies to aluminium producers, combining automation, robotics, and intelligent data solutions. By combining DTE’s real time molten metal analysis with our advanced metal handling systems, we’re enabling manufacturers to optimise their operations, reduce emissions, and make informed decisions faster than ever before. We’re proud to be at the forefront of this digital transformation in the aluminium industry.”

Founded in 2013, DTE has been a leader in the digital transformation of the aluminium industry. DTE develops cutting edge solutions for real time, in-line chemical analysis of molten aluminium using its proprietary Liquid-Phase Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LP-LIBS™) technology. These solutions allow producers to optimise process efficiency, reduce waste, and improve safety by enabling immediate, data driven adjustments throughout casting and recycling operations. Unlike traditional methods, DTE’s technology delivers stable, repeatable results with minimal maintenance, significantly lowering production costs and environmental impact while improving safety by eliminating human handling of molten metal. www.dte.ai
