The FESA British Pavilion is a regular feature of GIFA and this year is no exception. Based in hall 15 and on stand H22, the British Pavilion will highlight the immense and varied capabilities of FESA member companies.
Established almost one hundred years ago, the Foundry Equipment and Supplies Association (FESA) is one of the longest standing trade associations to represent the needs of the UK foundry industry. With the objective of promoting the very best in foundry equipment, technology, knowledge and materials, FESA showcases the history and expertise of the British foundry supply industry and the advanced technologies being undertaken today to provide ongoing support to the global foundry sector.
When FESA was created its members were mostly concerned with maintaining the UK as the leading foundry nation, now the focus is on ensuring that the global cast metals industry provides the required solutions for OEMs and castings buyers wherever they are based.
Many FESA member companies have input from other international companies within their global groups but they all still have a foothold in the domestic market with manufacturing and/or distribution bases in the UK.
FESA secretary Andrew Turner explains: “Whilst our members are proud to promote the virtues of buying British, they are also keen to showcase how by working together with parent and sister companies in other countries, supply companies can take full advantage of supporting customers in all regions of the world with technology invented and adapted in Britain and influenced by global development.
“FESA member companies supply customers in all territories and have experienced both domestic and international success in recent years. Many of our members are part of larger corporate groups now but many are still independent companies based in the UK. Collectively their involvement with FESA enables them to showcase the abilities of the foundry supply sector, whether they be suppliers of large capital equipment, technology or consumables.”
Export initiatives are of course of particular interest to all companies in the foundry supply industry and FESA offers its members assistance in developing business throughout the world, thanks to joint attendance at international events and member representation at major international exhibitions in existing and emerging markets. FESA has participated at many events over the years, including: GIFA, Ankiros, Metals + Metallurgy, CastExpo, the World Foundry Congress, Litmash etc.
FESA British Pavilion
The FESA British Pavilion is a regular feature of GIFA and this year is no exception. Based in hall 15 and on stand H22, the British Pavilion will highlight the immense and varied capabilities of FESA member companies, whether they are physically exhibiting on the pavilion or are exhibiting elsewhere around the halls. The pavilion provides a meeting place for FESA members, existing and potential customers. In addition, the experts on the stand can also offer guidance to those seeking solutions to their casting needs.
FESA members can provide the very best of everything a foundry needs, including furnaces, moulding plants, extraction equipment, continuous and centrifugal casting machines and finishing plant. In addition FESA members can supply sand, additives, refractories and other chemicals, technical consultancy, training, information and publications.
This is an ideal opportunity to check out what FESA member companies can offer to the global foundry industry, so be sure to add: visit GIFA – hall 15, stand H22 to your ‘to do’ list this June.
