A meeting of minds

Omega Sinto Foundry Machinery Ltd recently played host to the executive board of the World Foundry Organization at its Peterborough (UK) headquarters. The WFO executives were in the region for a board meeting chaired by Omega Sinto’s Mark Fenyes FICME – the newly appointed WFO president. The executives, who were attending from around the world, took the opportunity to view the latest developments in no bake technology in sand mixing, mould handling and sand reclamation during a tour of the Peterborough facilities and had the chance to talk to technical staff about the current developments and their innovative future thinking.

Speaking about the event Mark Fenyes said: “Hosting the recent WFO meeting, was a great honour for us at Omega Sinto.”

Participants were also given an insight into British heritage during a formal dinner at Burghley House, a stately home in Stamford.

The WFO is currently compiling its annual Global Foundry Industry Report, from detailed information from all member countries and is preparing for the prestigious World Foundry Congress 2018, to be held in Krakow, Poland (23rd to 27th September 2018). www.thewfo.com www.73wfc.com www.ofml.net
