Foseco Japan Limited recently made a significant investment in steel filtration production to increase current capacity at its plant in Toyokawa, Japan.
The investment was in response to the rapidly increasing demand for steel filters in critical, high quality castings over the past three years.
Eiyu Tei, business development director at Foseco Japan Limited said: “This investment increases our capacity by 50 per cent and was essential in ensuring that we can continue to supply this fast growing market.”
Nick Child, international product manager for filtration products, added: “Casting users are setting ever tighter specifications on our customer to ensure improved quality, better mechanical properties and reduced rejects. Foseco’s range of STELEX ZR zirconia based and STELEX PrO carbon bonded filters are ideally suited to meet these needs by removing non-metallic inclusions from the melt and reducing reoxidation defects caused by turbulent mould filling.”
