UK-based manufacturer John Winter, which specialises in the foundry and dental industries, is undergoing an internal talent transformation as it sets itself up for international growth and expansion.
Adam Bennett, foundry sales director, has been announced as the company’s new managing director following a decision from Dale Lister to step down from the role. Lister, who has been with John Winter for over 32 years, continues as export director and will focus on growing the export arm of business as it looks to international markets for future growth.
Also in the senior leadership space, Sam Ellis is being promoted to operations director where she will use her extensive experience of over ten years with John Winter to ensure that the focus on delivering for clients is maintained.
The business is also welcoming an influx of new talent to help drive progress towards its future ambitions. Grant Turnbull has joined the business as dental sales manager and Ted Leather as financial controller, replacing Brendan Foster and Chris Gledhill respectively who are both set to retire after more than 40 years with John Winter. In brand new roles for the business, Sam Holden has joined as marketing manager and Paul Workman as IT manager.
Following unprecedented growth within the UK, the John Winter board recognises the importance of its people in helping it achieve success. Reflecting on this time of change for the business, Dale Lister said: “I truly believe that there are many more opportunities ahead for John Winter and we’re uniquely placed to work with our trusted suppliers and our own manufacturing capabilities to deliver for clients right across the globe. Our people are key to this growth and I’m delighted that as I step away from the MD role, I know I’m leaving the business in the best possible shape to flourish.”
