FESA members stand up for training in the UK

Foundry Equipment & Supplies Association member companies have committed to inspiring current and future generations of cast metals engineers, thanks to their donation of world-class equipment at the National Foundry Training Centre in the UK.

The centre houses the latest foundry machinery, including melting technology from Acetarc Engineering Co and Inductotherm Europe Ltd and moulding equipment from Omega Sinto Foundry Machinery Ltd.

FESA secretary Eur Ing Andrew Turner FICME said: “FESA is delighted that there is a new foundry training facility in the UK, an asset that has been missing for many years. The training that is being carried out there will benefit the industry for both suppliers and foundries. FESA members have been very supportive in supplying equipment for use in the centre and are proud to be a part of this initiative.”

The support of industry is enabling the Institute of Cast Metals Engineers to deliver training and professional development as required by industry. This industry-led initiative is possible because of a combined effort from a number of organisations and individuals.

“FESA member companies answered the call for support and are particularly keen to enable future generations of cast metals engineers to be trained on equipment that is in use in foundries all around the world.” www.fesa.org.uk
