Reichmann & Sohn GmbH is now the owner of the trademark rights and intellectual property of the Italian mechanical engineering company MAUS srl. With the acquisition on 1st July, Reichmann has secured valuable expertise in the field of foundry automation, thus further expanding its position as a world leading provider of automatic casting finishing solutions and opening up new growth and development potential.
Reichmann Casting Finishing and MAUS are present as leading providers of foundry automation among foundries worldwide with more than 1,000 installed machines around the globe. “With the acquisition of the MAUS brand and all of the intellectual property, we like to combine the technological know-how of both companies and enable new developments. Our goal is to offer our customers the best solutions for foundry automation on the market,” says Stefan Reichmann, managing director of Reichmann & Sohn GmbH. A new, innovative product line for automatic casting finishing will be presented in September. To reliably supply existing MAUS customers with spare parts and services, a service and spare parts management is set up at the company's headquarters in Weissenhorn, Germany.
MAUS has over 30 years of experience in the field of foundry automation and vertical turning. The MAUS brand offers a wide range of NC machining centres and robot cells for the automatic grinding of cast parts up to 10,000kg and a range of vertical lathes for the machining of parts up to 800mm in diameter. The MAUS Foundry Automation division offers specialised machines for the production of foundry cores. Reichmann & Sohn GmbH has more than 100 years of experience and engineering competence in grinding and cutting technology. The Reichmann Casting Finishing division offers customer-oriented solutions for automatic cutting, deburring, surface grinding and belt grinding of cast parts.
