The Swedish manufacturer of machined castings Kockums Maskin – part of the BIRN foundry group – has appointed Johan Brengesjö as the new managing director. With his solid experience in product management, business development and technology, he will contribute to the company’s positive development, says the company.
Brengesjö, aged 41, will be responsible for the factory in Kallinge, Sweden, and its 70+ employees who produce machined cast iron parts for customers in the international automotive, iron and machinery industries, among others.
Brengesjö brings with him solid experience in product management from companies such as Atlas Copco, Kompan and most recently Dynapac. Group CEO at BIRN Group, Claus Beier, describes Johan Brengesjö as an “experienced and commercially strong leader with a focus on technology and business development”. He said: “We are delighted to welcome Johan to the BIRN Group as the new managing director of Kockums Maskin. With his experience and strong customer focus, we are confident that he is the right profile to lead and develop Kockums Maskin in the future.”
Although he is new in the company, Brengesjö is no stranger to Kockums Maskin. He has previously worked closely with several of the company’s customers and is thus familiar with the company and the markets in which it operates:
